Thank you to our generous supporters,
you’ve changed the lives of so many children for the better.

Missionaries of the Sacred Heart Australia

The Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) is an international order of brothers and priests within the Catholic Church, founded in France in the 1850s. The MSC works in more than 55 countries including Australia to deliver education, pastoral care and community service particularly for disadvantaged groups.

The Missionaries of the Sacred Heart Australia have for more than five years generously provided financial support for the education of our school-age children.

Inner Wheel is one of the largest women’s voluntary service organisations in the world. It was formed to create friendship, service and understanding, and has more than 100,000 members in over 100 countries.

Inner Wheel Wodonga has been supporting Meg’s Children for 6 years, through their international grants program, and by hosting and supporting fundraising events.

Australian Rotary Clubs are part of an international network of business, professional and community leaders who strive to make the world a better place through practical efforts. Through Rotary International, the reward of “paying it forward” unites men and women from different backgrounds, cultures, religious and political beliefs the world over, allowing ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

Kooringal Rotary, based in Wagga Wagga, has for the past three years generously sponsored one of our students, Roshani, to study nursing.  Roshani has now completed her studies successfully and is employed at The Siddhi Memorial Hospital as a staff nurse.

Kooringal Rotary has pledged further support into the future.

The Rotary Club of Albury North has been a regular and generous supporter of Meg’s over the past ten years, holding fundraising events and providing donations to support our operations in Nepal.

Geok Hua Wong Charitable Trust

The Geok Hua Wong Charitable Trust (GWCT), based in Melbourne, was established in 2015 on the death of Dr Geok Hua Wong.

The GWCT works to realise the vision of Dr Wong who during his lifetime was a generous philanthropist.

  • Dr Wrong’s wish was to provide funding for charitable purposes, particularly: The relief of poverty
  • The advancement of health, education, religion, culture, social and public welfare
  • The general benefit of the community where donations from the GWCT will make a real impact.

Thanks to the support of the GWCT one of our students, Reema, has been able to pursue her dream of studying a Bachelor of Nursing. Reema is now in her final year of study.

Geok Wong has generously pledged further support for Meg’s into the future.

St Anne’s School, North Albury

Saint Anne’s School in North Albury has been a long-term supporter of Meg’s, and to this day the children and staff host an annual fundraising event in support of Meg’s.

Rural Funds Management

In 2018 Rural Funds Management, a Canberra-based agricultural fund, sponsored an event as part of our Meg’s for March initiative, and made a generous donation that has made a significant difference our children in Nepal.

Mike Coen’s journey

In 2017 Mike Coen completed the ancient pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago (the Way of Saint James), walking over 900 km or 1.56 million steps, and chose Meg’s to be the beneficiary of his associated fundraising efforts.

Mike has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of Meg’s, and to highlight the plight of those less fortunate than ourselves.

Mike Coen walked over 900 kilometres or 1.56 million steps to support Meg’s Children.

Each step along the Camino was sponsored by generous supporters encouraging him.

An amazing total of $34800.00 was raised.
